Jeff Noble - Our home in the Sandy Springs/Dunwoody...
I am writing this letter of recommendation for Steve & Matt Loftus & their company, Heartland Contracting, because of the amazing job that they did in transforming our badly in need of repair house into the beautiful showroom home that it is today. My wife, Lois, & I could not be any happier with the outcome of the major renovation job that Steve preformed on our house.
Our home in the Sandy Springs/Dunwoody area of Atlanta was build in 1989 with approximately 11,000 square feet of living space on 1.6 acres of land across the street from the Chattahoochee River. By 2010, the house was nearly falling apart in every major category which included cracked dryvit on every wall, rotting windows throughout, leaking roof & a huge tiled deck & steps in the back of house that was falling apart.
Before proceeding with the renovation, we hired an architect to completely change the exterior design of the home to a fresh stone & stucco look, as well as extending the pool bath in the basement to include a dressing area & sauna. We also had him design an enclosed patio underneath the extended area that our new concrete deck was planned.
Once we had the Plans exactly how we wanted our remodel to be, we met with several contractors to bid on the specifications. Although they all came in with approximately the same bid price, ($850,000) we chose Steve to do the work because we felt that he understood the best of what our vision was for the home. He did not disappoint!
When completed in late 2011, the Project came in within budget and on time. I believe that Steve did an amazing job dealing with the many subcontractors & seeing to it that all work was done to perfection. In the rare instances where something was not done to our complete satisfaction, Steve would come back and correct it - in one case, even two years later.
Since then, we have continued to use Steve for more minor remodels with the same excellent results. Two years ago, just before our daughter got married in Atlanta, we wanted to have all 4 bathrooms in the upstairs guest bedrooms remodeled with all new fixtures, tiles & paint. With a very short timeframe to work with, Steve completed the job much to the satisfaction of our houseful of guests that came for the wedding.
For anyone who is seriously thinking of using Steve for a major renovation of their home, I will be happy to show you the incredible job that he did on our home.
